Description
New Mobility RTU (Ready To Use) combines essential oils that support musculoskeletal conditions of many species of animals.
The RTU version of New Mobility is already diluted in Fractionated Coconut Oil to a ratio that I found most of my patients responded well to. However, there could still be animals who need a stronger or weaker concentration. Starting with the RTU version is an excellent first step, and then modifications can be made if necessary. This blend is intended for topical use, and is not meant to be given orally, beyond normal grooming or licking habits (which is entirely safe). While this blend is safe for oral ingestion, it really is not all that tasty – so that is why we make other blends with actual ingestion in mind.
For Dogs, Horses, and other Larger Animals – New Mobility can be used as a massage oil to support any sort of musculoskeletal concern or to support normal and healthy tissues as preventive measures. To help support joint health in breeds prone to certain conditions such as ruptured or torn Cruciate Ligaments (ACL, Partial Tears, etc…) or Luxating Patellas (loose knee caps) – a weekly massage with New Mobility RTU can be used. It is not necessary to part the fur to apply, as hair and natural skin oils wick essential oils into the follicles – allowing for absorption into the body.
When conditions are more acute (an active injury or problem) we may apply New Mobility RTU more often. Even daily (and up to three times a day) applications can be used. I often “pet” a light coating of this blend onto post surgical limbs (typically avoiding the incision) in my veterinary practice, and noticed much less swelling, bruising, and a quicker return to function and “toe-touching” post-op.
This blend is also helpful for horses (as well as others) and can greatly aid in support of circulation and prevention of “stocking up”, edema, and soreness due to standing on hard surfaces or traveling long distances in a trailer.
When musculoskeletal concerns are present (ie older arthritic animals) – I will often layer the use of New Mobility RTU topically, with Any-Itis orally. If one or the other product is adequate to maintain comfort and activity for the animal, then we can use just that one. However, when we need something “more” – it is nice to layer the various products together for added support. Which product you select to try first, can often be determined by your animal’s personality. If adding an item like Any-Itis to food seems to be an easier option for your household – then start there. If your animal is “beyond picky” with foods – then starting with topical applications may seem more appropriate. And, for those animals who are experiencing larger amounts of discomfort or decreased activity, I may start with the use of both products right away.

Instructions for Use
New Mobility RTU
PrintNew Mobility RTU is not intended for diffusion as it contains Fractionated Coconut Oil.
Birds & Exotics: New Mobility RTU can be used topically in some situations for these species. However, there are products that are more specific to these animals that should be used first. CritterBoost, Feathered Plus NEAT, Aqua-Add, and Any-Itis LITE would be several recommendations for these species, depending on their needs.
Cats: For most cats, we would recommend using KittyBoost or KittyBoost LITE and not New Mobility RTU. Although it will not be harmful for a cat to receive an application of New Mobility RTU (don’t fret if you already have…) there are certainly more cat friendly options available and more appropriate. And we aim to please all cats! Cats are completely safe if they cuddle with a human or dog wearing New Mobility RTU as well.
Dogs: This blend was created especially with dogs in mind. An ideal blend, with every essential oil that I always wanted for dogs who had knee injuries, were healing from orthopedic procedures and repairs, or that were just stiff or sore from any cause. Whenever anyone would ask me “What oils would be good for…” – it would never fail that some of my absolute favorite oils were either too expensive, on back order, or just not in the home at that time – and would therefore not be included into homemade blends – leaving them much less effective.
- Apply New Mobility RTU with Petting Techniques. Place 1-10 drops into your hands, rub them together and massage into the locations of need. If your dog has had a surgery, please avoid applying within 1-2 inches of the incision. Applying around the incision area is all that is necessary, and is highly beneficial. Please use caution if surgical areas are irritated – such as with clipper burn or irritations from surgical scrub. New Mobility RTU is already diluted in Fractionated Coconut Oil, making it very convenient. This oil blend can be applied up to 3 times a day, or as needed.
- There is no need to part fur during applications. Normal grooming or licking and ingestion of New Mobility RTU is fine – although the blend is not intended to be given orally.
Horses & Large Animals: These animals actually seem to respond better and longer to the New Mobility RTU formulation than to the NEAT. Apply in the same manner as described for dogs.
